Military service as a shield

Liss gets it right regarding the whole Obama, Wes Clark, John McCain POW thing. I don't have time for the details, and while I strongly believe there is a fight to be had over John McCain's qualifications to be president (being out-of-touch and being wrong about almost everything, to quickly name a few), I do think Clark stepped in it a bit on Sunday. John McCain uses his POW time as a shield, but it's an effective shield and the whole conversation is not one Barack Obama needs to be having right now.

Update: Or, is this all playing out exactly as intended. Interesting.
