On race and politics

I don't think Hillary Clinton is a racist, nor do I think Geraldine Ferraro is a racist. I do, however, think Hillary has made a campaign decision to drive a wedge through the Democratic party by knocking Obama off his supposed pedestal by portraying him as the "black candidate," thereby making him unpalatable to whites and damaging his electability. It really is that simple. In the end, I'm making a political judgment, not a character judgment. However, as far as character judgments, in the context of Clinton's politics, goes, she falls somewhere in the Karl Rove range with her lack of any.

Update: Clinton apologizes, sort-of, and acknowledges that "whoever wins the nomination will have to heal the wounds of a bruising, historic contest." Wounds caused by you, Senator Clinton. Wounds not soon forgotten.
