AP: Senate bars bill to restore detainee rights

Note to Media: The "Senate" did not "bar" the bill to restore habeas corpus rights, the Republicans did. And, dear, media, while I have your attention, could you please mention that the Republicans were not only responsible for rejecting the bill, but that they used the filibuster to do it.

Note to Democrats: Next time the Republicans refuse to end debate, make them keep talking and talking and talking. Let them be seen as the obstructionist, freedom-hating, rights-destroying assholes that they really are.
