Global Warming Very Likely Caused By Man

An AP article says that the world's leading climate scientists report that global warming is "very likely caused by man." The author translates that in scientific terms "very likley" means 90% certainty, yet somehow the AP headline writer could only squeeze in "likely," which indicates a lesser degree of certainty. The headline writer also left out the word "global."
Warming 'likely' man-made, unstoppable

PARIS - The world's leading climate scientists said global warming has begun, is "very likely" caused by man, and will be unstoppable for centuries, according to a report obtained Friday by The Associated Press.

The phrase "very likely" translates to a more than 90 percent certainty that global warming is caused by man's burning of fossil fuels. That was the strongest conclusion to date, making it nearly impossible to say natural forces are to blame.

What that means in simple language is "we have this nailed," said top U.S. climate scientist Jerry Mahlman.
I thought that perhaps the omission was due to space limitations, but right there in other Yahoo! News I was able to find multiple headlines that were longer than

Global Warming 'very likely' man-made, unstoppable
including:
Mexico discovery shows Olmecs had greater influence
NASA to Launch Jamestown Artifact, Coins Aboard Shuttle
New Orleans' coroner finds no sign of homicide in Katrina mercy killing case

So why the omission of "global" and "very?"

Maybe I'm nit-picking, but all the Flat-earthers seem to need is just that tiniest bit of wiggle room to begin muddying any scientific argument, and to me this is an example of the mainstream media opening the door a little bit wider than it needed to for the intellectually insincere anti-science crowd that Dim Son runs with.

Creature's Update: Ted, AP corrects your nit-picking. "Likely" is nowhere to be found in the latest AP editions!
