Today is Donald Rumsfeld's last day. Today is victory parade day. Today the administration pays tribute, and plays dumb, to the mess that Donald Rumsfeld has made. To not celebrate Rumsfeld, is to not celebrate themselves. Rummy, Cheney, Bush, they think of themselves as heroes in a never ending fight. They are strong. We are weak. They are visionaries. We are naive. They believe all the deaths today will eventually be justified by a lack of the same tomorrow. To admit anything else would be to admit their own failure. They know that they have made the world a more dangerous place. They know how wrong they have been, yet they celebrate anyway. It's disgusting and disgraceful.
