Brain Surgery?

I'll believe it when I see it. From Think Progress:
The rumors that chief White House political architect Karl Rove will leave sometime next year are being bolstered with new insider reports that his partisan style is a hurdle to President Bush’s new push for bipartisanship. “Karl represents the old style and he’s got to go if the Democrats are going to believe Bush’s talk of getting along,” said a key Bush advisor.
See, thing is, I don't believe there is a "new push for bipartisanship" coming out of the White House. No way, no how. Trust me, I want to see him go, and I still dream of him being frog-marched out of the White House, but I can't see Bush letting go. Remember, Bush is about loyalty and all that macho crap. I say they marginalize him, but they keep him. For now I'm happy enough watching his genius status slowly erode away.

Think Progress has more.
