Bad news for the Bush administration, but is it really?

A stark assessment of terrorism trends by American intelligence agencies has found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks.

The Democrat screams, "damn you, Bush. I told you so." The GOP answers, "bygones. A new generation of terrorists means more opportunities for us to keep you safe. After all, we are the hard-asses and they are the pussies." And overall terror stays in the news and the Iraq cause is forgotten. Good or bad terror news, so long as the topic is terror they win. Well, at least that's the spin.

The people won't look at the cause, they will bend to the rhetoric.
