A pre-Iraq mentality

Today, in the NYT, Adam Nagourney takes a look at the sinking ship that is the Lieberman campaign. Joe still doesn't get it, no matter how much they say he does get it, when he makes statements like this:

Mr. Lieberman described the primary as a test of the moderate politics he and Mr. Clinton had embraced.

“In a primary like this, his legacy is on the line,” Mr. Lieberman said. “Because the group that is opposing me is not, does not really believe in the same kind of politics that Bill Clinton believes in, that brought us two wins in two national elections. They are just negative.”

Mr. Lieberman is living in a pre-Iraq world. Everything has changed.

And, Joe, when you become best friends with the enemy, you are anything but moderate.

P.S. Here's a post script that is anything but post. Mr. Nagourney also let's the NYT cat out of the bag. They are endorsing Ned Lamont tomorrow. Wow.
