What He Says?
Dear State of the Day readers, I hope this post finds you well. I have some bad news to report. I awoke this morning to find that I agree with Rush Limbaugh. I know, I know, how can this be so? But it is. Please, let me explain. See, the New York Times has a article out today reporting that the GOP public is mad at their GOP politicians regarding the proposed $100 gas refund check. Thankfully, they see it for what it really is: a hollow gesture, a political stunt, an insult to the people by politicians that are so out of touch they can't comprehend how paltry a hundred bucks is. So, imagine my surprise when I read that Rush says the very same thing:

Conservative talk radio hosts have been particularly vocal. "What kind of insult is this?" Rush Limbaugh asked on his radio program on Friday. "Instead of buying us off and treating us like we're a bunch of whores, just solve the problem." [Read More]I know you are thinking - Creature, it's no big deal. Sometimes both sides can agree. And I thank you for the thoughts, but my world view has gone askew. So, what does this mean for State of the Day? Basically I need some time. I may turn this ship around and Malkanize it. I may just scrap the whole blog and go live in a cave. I'm just not sure. All I ask from you is some time to allow me to decide. Thank you for reading, and I hope to speak to you all again soon. Damn you Rush, I really do love my french fries and my lattes.
