Shake-up

The White House team gets a warning. From the Associated Press through CNN:

Signaling a possible shake-up among President Bush's senior advisers, the new White House chief of staff told top presidential aides Monday to expect changes that "refresh and re-energize the team." He invited anyone who is thinking of leaving before year's end to do so now.

President Bush then stood up and said, "You, know, heh, I'm kinda tired of this presidenting stuff, heh, heh, I think I'll go."

Mr. Bolten then proceeded to politely explain to the president that this ultimatum was not directed at him. With shoulders slumped, a despondent president Bush sat down and resumed his coloring duties.
