All Apologies

Dear SotDers, I must apologize for falling behind on the Mary McCarthy, CIA-agent-fired-for-supposedly-leaking, story. I made a brief mention of it over the weekend, but that was all. Well, since then the story has grown, twisted, and turned. Having been fired after a well planned retirement was already in progress,* Mary has hired a lawyer, and she's not going quietly. So, where does this leave you? Sorely uninformed by the crew here at State of the Day. My apologies. In order to make it up to you I have asked the eminently knowledgeable Murray Wass to write you an extensive article explaining the entire story to you. There is no need to thank me, but money orders will be accepted. Thank you for your patience.

*It seems there is a process for getting out of the CIA. I think it has something to do with killing your first born to ensure your silence, but don't quote me on that.
