Tribe wrote Conyers [brave House Dem pushing for impeachment], dismissing Bush's defense of warrantless surveillance as "poppycock." It constituted, Tribe concluded, "as grave an abuse of executive authority as I can recall ever having studied."I will say it is refreshing to see an article talk so frankly about impeachment. While inside the Beltway, Democrats run from the idea, everyday folks across the nation are ready to at least hear the argument. It is not only the looney-liberal base that is tired of listening to this guy lie, it is my belief that middle American is also fed up. November will be interesting indeed.
