Day of "Truth"

An organization called the "Alliance Defense Fund" is organizing the "Day of Truth" for April 27, to fall immediately after the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Educational Network (GLSEN) sponsors their "Day of Silence".

First, notice in the article how the word "truth" is capitalized everywhere. This is important because it's a concept and not actually a reality. Kind of like calling the stuff you get from KFC 'chicken'. They really want to indoctrinate their young to the concept of "truthiness" early. Here's the card they want students to hand out (btw, it's not free):
I am speaking the Truth to break the silence.
Silence isn’t freedom. It’s a constraint.
Truth tolerates open discussion, because the Truth emerges when healthy discourse is allowed.
By proclaiming the Truth in love, hurts will be halted, hearts will be healed, and lives will be saved.
Yes, truth does tolerate open discussion. So why then would they say things like "The Day of Truth was established to counter the promotion of the homosexual agenda..." and "It is part of their (GLSEN) overall strategy to change how our society perceives homosexual behavior." Honestly, we all know there is no promotion of a homosexual agenda nor any attempt to change the way society perceives homosexual behavior. The only thing anybody on the side of GLSEN wants is to stop hate and promote tolerance. Here's their mission statement:
The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
Sounds pretty admirable and inclusive to me as opposed to the ADF's divisive homo-paranoia masquerading as an attempt to 'halt hurts, heal hearts, and save lives'. Pffft.

Anyways, this is my favorite line in the article. In reference to the Day of Silence which encourages students to "take a day-long vow of silence to recognize and protest the discrimination and harassment...", the Day of Truth article wraps up with "But the Day of Silence is a misnomer, because what is truly being silenced is the Truth." They're right, the truth is being silenced. The kids that will be silent are likely the ones that are speaking the truth; that homosexuality exists and that all persons are created equal and therefore should be equally afforded the respect and dignity we all deserve.

Every time I look, the left is about accepting others and worrying about bettering themselves, while the right is all about worrying about everybody else and ignoring their own moral shortcomings while claiming morality in general (and Jesus in particular) as their own. "Live and Let Live" vs. "Conform or Be Attacked".

But seriously, Who Would Jesus Persecute?
