This blood is on the neo-cons hands. There is no way around it. It may not be civil* war, but it is war. From the Washington Post:

Grisly attacks and other sectarian violence unleashed by last week's bombing of a Shiite Muslim shrine have killed more than 1,300 Iraqis, making the past few days the deadliest of the war outside of major U.S. offensives, according to Baghdad's main morgue. The toll was more than three times higher than the figure previously reported by the U.S. military and the news media.

*P.S. I resent being told by rightwing blowhards that I am wishing for civil war in Iraq. I do not wish for civil war. I do not want to be proven right. I do wish that BushCo had never lied us into war in the first place. I do want the entire administration to be thrown into jail for the carnage they have caused.
