I promised myself a light blogging day today, it is Sunday after all, but when I came across this line in an interesting Newsweek article I just had to post it.

When Cheney became vice president to Bush 43, he brought Addington into the White House as his lawyer. Counsel to the vice president is, in most administrations, worth less than the proverbial bucket of warm spit, but under Prime Minister Cheney, it became a vital power center, especially after 9/11. [Emphasis Added]Now, we here in the blogosphere have openly questioned whether or not King George is a figure-head president, but to see Newsweek do it, now that's newsworthy.
