Prime Minister Cheney

I promised myself a light blogging day today, it is Sunday after all, but when I came across this line in an interesting Newsweek article I just had to post it.

When Cheney became vice president to Bush 43, he brought Addington into the White House as his lawyer. Counsel to the vice president is, in most administrations, worth less than the proverbial bucket of warm spit, but under Prime Minister Cheney, it became a vital power center, especially after 9/11. Now, we here in the blogosphere have openly questioned whether or not King George is a figure-head president, but to see Newsweek do it, now that's newsworthy.

Oh, and feel free to read the article the quote came from. It's a sad look at the Bushes grab for power and the few who were willing to stand up to them, and subsequently get shoved aside by them. Nothing new, just blatant disrespect for everything America stands for.
